Privacy matters
Wakt is a time-dimension clock for Android. It is designed to be private by default: there is no account, no sign-in, and no advertising. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect, in plain language.
No account, no sign-in
Wakt does not require you to create an account or log in. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to use the app, and we do not build a profile of you.
Your data stays on your device
The events you create — their schedules, colours, icons and labels — and your settings are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us and we cannot see them.
- Events: recurring loops, one-shot countdowns and solar drops you add, stored in the app's local database.
- Settings: your display and calendar preferences, stored locally on the device.
Location (only for solar rings)
If you enable an Ephemeris (sunrise or sunset) event, Wakt uses your device location to compute solar times for your position. Location is used on the device to perform that calculation and is not sent to us or to any third party. You can decline or revoke the location permission at any time in your device settings; only the solar features will be affected.
No analytics or tracking
Wakt does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect usage statistics, device identifiers, or behavioural data for profiling.
App store and distribution
When you download or update Wakt through Google Play, that distribution is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy. Any diagnostics you choose to share through the store's standard reporting tools are handled by Google, not by us.
Security
Because your events and settings live on your device, their security is tied to your device's own protections, such as your screen lock and platform encryption. We recommend keeping your device and operating system up to date.
Children
Wakt is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here on this page.
